The new Ducati Desmo450 MX will take part in all rounds of the Italian Motocross Pro Prestige MX1 Championship with the Ducati Corse R&D – Factory MX Team. Ducati, which recently announced new plans for a range of off-road models that will see the light of day in the near future, and will use national motocross competitions as early as 2024 as an integral part of its development plan, has decided to create the Ducati Corse Off-Road Division. Paolo Ciabatti, Sporting Director of Ducati Corse from 2013 to 2023, has been called to serve as General Manager of the new Ducati Corse Off-Road, with the goal of bringing Ducati to success in the off-road world as well.
The development of Ducati Desmo450 MX is entrusted to Alessandro Lupino, who will take part in all trials of the Italian Championship, with the collaboration of Antonio Cairoli as a high-performance rider-tester.

- Antonio Cairoli was born in Patti (ME) on Sept. 23, 1985, and is one of the most victorious motocross riders ever, by virtue of the nine world titles he has won (six of them won consecutively between 2009 and 2014), which places him second on the list of the most successful motocross riders in history. In addition, with 94 Grand Prix wins, Cairoli is the third rider with the most wins ever. In 2021, together with Mattia Guadagnini and Alessandro Lupino, they won the Motocross of Nations, bringing the world team title to Italy.

- Alessandro Lupino was born in Viterbo (VT) on Jan. 15, 1991, and in his long sports career, he became Italian champion eight times in addition to winning the European and world titles in the 85cc class in 2006. In 2014, he joined the Fiamme Oro sports group of the State Police. In 2021, together with Mattia Guadagnini and Antonio Cairoli, they won the Motocross of Nations, bringing the world team title to Italy.
